Success all around at the 2018 Dublin Horse Show

Local animal nutrition business Connolly’s RED MILLS claimed success across the board at this year’s Dublin Horse Show with multiple wins for their riders, as well as being chosen as runner up for best stand at the RDS last week. The impressive stand beside the Simmonscourt arena showcased RED MILLS famous horse feeds made in Goresbridge, as well as the Foran Equine range of horse supplements, and the latest in country fashions from the RED MILLS store at Cillin Hill in Kilkenny City. Visitors to the stand were able to avail of a nutritional consultation with the team of equine nutritionists, as well as picking up special offers on clothing and footwear from exclusive brands including Welligogs, Toggi, Ronner and Ariat.

Managing Director Joe Connolly said of the win “We are so honoured to be recognised for our work at what is classed as one of the most prestigious equestrian events in Ireland, especially whilst facing off stiff competition from other high profile brand names within the horse industry. It is a testament to the hard work and effort of our wonderful team here at RED MILLS and Foran Equine, and the feedback from our customers has been overwhelming – thank you to all who came out and visited us at the stand. It was also a fantastic week for so many of our customers in both the jumping and the showing rings and I would like to congratulate them all on their incredible achievements.”

Brian Murphy Gowran Hunt Horses

Local RED MILLS riders and customers were in phenomenal form at the Dublin Horse Show - Tom and Sinead Brennan from Gowran were crowned leading Breeders of the show, highlights of which included MHS Morning Master who was produced locally by Pat Loughlin and Brian Murphy of Gowran Hunt Horses to win the 3yo Youngstock Championship and The 'Pembroke' Challenge Cup. The Gowran Hunt team also had a show to remember and reclaimed both the Irish Draught Performance Championship with Gortfree Lakeside Lad and the Cob Championship with The Peaky Blinder.

Mikey Pender and MHS New York

The Brennan’s prefix was also carried to victory by MHS New York to land The 'Flexible' Five Year Old National Championship in the ownership of Kilkenny native Marion Hughes and ridden by the talented young rider Mikey Pender.
